El Congreso se desarrolló durante dos en 9 Museos ubicados en la Quinta Normal de Santiago y se contó con un tercer día con una visita al Campamento Sewell en la Cordillera de Los Andes, sitio Patrimonio de la Humanidad.

The main business of the Congress Congress was located in the Quinta Normal de Santiago and there was a third day with a visit to Camp Sewell in the Cordillera de Los Andes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

 El Congreso convocó a casi 200 trabajos de 39 países de todo el mundo. El 25% de estos trabajos perteneces a autores chilenos y el 75% autores del resto del mundo. Con lo cual contamos con una amplia representación del estado de situación actual del patrimonio industrial en el mundo.

The Congress convened almost 200 papers from 39 countries around the world. 25% of these works were delivered by Chilean authors and 75% from the rest of the world. A wide range of themes was discussed. 

TICCIH Chile hizo un gran esfuerzo al publicar, por primera vez en un Congreso TICCIH, todos los trabajos de manera previa al encuentro. Y se incluyeron en el libro, todos los trabajos seleccionados por el Comité Científico para el encuentro. No se hizo una selección posterior, ya que nos parece que todos los trabajos seleccionados debían estar en el libro, ya que fueron incluidos en el Congreso.

 TICCIH Chile made a great effort to publish, for the first time in a TICCIH Congress, all the papers prior to the meeting, and all the papers selected by the Scientific Committee being included in the book. No further selection was made, since it seems to us that all the selected works should be in the conference proceedings and made available to all delegates.
