Presentation of Issue 29 of the Journal Patrimonio Industriale
On Wednesday, 24 June 2026, at 4:00 p.m., the presentation of Issue 29 of Patrimonio Industriale, entitled “Corporate Archives in Italy. Comparative Experiences”, will take place at the State Archives of Rome (Corso del Rinascimento 40, Rome).
The issue contributes to the ongoing debate that has reshaped the understanding of corporate archives as an integral part of cultural heritage. Through a collection of case studies and critical reflections, it offers a multifaceted perspective on archives as spaces of memory, knowledge production, and cultural responsibility.
The contributions address a wide range of topics, from preservation and enhancement strategies to the challenges and opportunities of digital transformation, highlighting how corporate archives have become key arenas where institutional identity, collective memory, and knowledge creation intersect.
Following the institutional welcome, contributions will be delivered by Raffaella Catini, Chiara Veninata and Giuseppe Stemperini. The speakers will discuss the themes explored in the issue and the evolving role of corporate archives in contemporary cultural heritage policies and practices.
The event will provide an opportunity for scholars, professionals and institutions to reflect on the contribution of archives to the preservation, interpretation and enhancement of industrial and business heritage.
