INCUNA – XXIII INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE

The XXIII International Conference on Industrial Heritage was held in a hybrid form, adapted to the capacity, health and social standards in the current circumstances: in person, for those who could travel and participate directly and also online through a technological platform launched to facilitate presentations and participation in all activities. This year our theme was “Taste in Heritage”, a polysemic view of the food industries, highlighting their importance as essential heritage.
The congress had four main sections for the presentation of papers or communications that took place from September 29 to October 2, 2021 in the Cultural Space of the Business School and the CCAI (Old School Culture Centre) of Gijón:
- Table 1 – Machines, Buildings and Processes. Architectures and Agricultural Technologies. Conservation, Restoration and Good Practices in the Agro-food Industrial Heritage.
- Table 2- Social Innovation, Heritage and Territorial Development. Experiences and Sustainability of Rural Spaces and Urban Needs. Slow food, Agro-tech and Village 4.0.
- Table 3 – Memory of knowledge and work, History of Science, Identity, Methods and practices in the research of oral traditions and Intangible Heritage, Gastronomy and Culinary Heritage.
- Table 4 – Circuits across the agro-food landscape. Museums, Teaching approaches and popularization. Responsible and sustainable tourism
